On August 27, 2024, the Glasgow Electric Plant Board of Directors unanimously voted in favor of a new broadband service rate schedule effective November 1st, 2024. The change in cable-only and cable/internet bundle pricing is due to increased programming costs forced onto the GEPB by cable channel providers. To help add value to broadband offerings and help customers offset the rising costs of Cable TV, the Premier and Premier HD tiers have been combined into the Elite Cable tier. All Premier Tier customers will receive an automatic update to their cable box on November 1st, no call or service visit will be necessary.
