In 1986, leadership with the Glasgow EPB had a vision of creating a broadband system that allowed information to be transferred and shared fast and efficiently to better serve the GEPB’s power grid and help connect Glasgow to the future. First came the cable television system, making GEPB one of the first municipally-owned cable providers in the country. Then, only a few years later, the Glasgow EPB became the first electricity, cable television, and internet municipal utility in the United States. Today, we continue to strive to bring Glasgow the most efficient and affordable cable and internet service possible.
